Hey 👋 My name’s Ali, and in the last five years I’ve created three successful podcasts from scratch, and I’m currently in the process of recording episodes for Season 5 of my biggest podcast, Deep Dive.
Podcasting has helped me connect with people I would never have had the chance to meet, to learn from some of the most creative and innovative people in the world, and to share our discussions with a community of listeners.
Having said that, you probably already know that podcasting is awesome. BUT, for one reason or another, you still haven’t hit record.
I know that when I started, I had so many questions:
- What do I make my podcast about?
- How much is the gear going to cost?
- How do I edit it?
- How do I get it on Spotify or Apple Podcasts?
- How am I supposed to find the time to sit down and record every week when my life is so busy?
These questions often create enough friction to prevent people from ever starting.

That’s where Part Time Podcaster comes in.
I was able to overcome all of these things and start two successful podcasts while growing a $5M business, managing a team of 15+ people, making 3 YouTube videos per week, and trying to hold down a social life.
I’ve also got five podcasters on my team, with tonnes of experience in creating podcasts across a variety of genres - everything from interviews, to scripted comedy, to who-even-knows-what-genre. We’ve also been interviewing podcasters from around the world to gain as much insight as we can into what makes a successful podcast. We want this to be the best resource for new podcasters in the world.

In this course, we’ll be going step-by-step through the process that will take us from having literally no idea what we want to talk about, through creating and uploading our first few episodes, and finally to building a system that keeps the production of our podcast sustainable. All this, without having to sacrifice every single evening and weekend.
The course is divided up into Foundation, Preparation, Creation, Dissemination, and Elevation.
- 💡 In Foundation, we’ll decide what our podcast will be about, what format we want it to take, how long it should be and what it’s going to be called, as well as building a brand and soundtrack to create a podcast that’s 100% unique.
- 🛠 In Preparation, we’ll talk all about the gear you’ll need to get started, both for audio and video, looking at a range of budgets. We’ll also look at guest outreach for interview based podcasts to get those dream guests you’d never have imagined speaking to.
- 🎨 In Creation, we’ll go through how to record and edit your very first podcast episode, as well as talking about first episode nerves and imposter syndrome to make sure you’re as ready as possible for recording.
- 🦅 In Dissemination, we’ll upload your podcast to the major podcast platforms for both audio and video, and repurpose the content for other social platforms to optimise your podcast’s reach after it launches.
- 🚀 Finally, in Elevation, we’ll create a sustainable production system that will allow you to keep uploading with consistency, we’ll discuss strategies for growing the podcast, and we’ll also talk though how and when to monetise your show if that’s something you want to do down the line.
